Business Analysis - Training
Scope (BABOK® Guide): “Business analysis is the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.” This training covers the essentials of the BABOK. To facilitate the cross interoperability, it does also present the main elements of Lean Six Sigma (Business Process Reengineering) and Programme Management, two processes that should always be located ‘upstream’ and ‘downstream’ of the BA activities.
The responsibility of a Business Analyst is much broader than just the collection of functional requirements: it has also to address all non-functional issues linked for example to the scalability, capacity, availability, audit trail, security, performance, management cockpit… of the projected solution. Furthermore, the BA has to deliver a structure that could be easily re-used by all subordinated processes: technical solution design, tests plans, programme management, procedures…
The BA is involved throughout the project as a facilitator and to clarify, arbitrate, complete the specs and validate the achievements.
This crash-course is devoted to business-analyst and to all BA “stakeholders”: sponsors, programme managers, system-analysts, facilitators, business experts…
